MySpace launches a Hulu for music videos, but does anyone care?

MySpace announced the launch of a clearinghouse for music videos. A "Hulu for music videos". Every music video available a click away. Read more in the link below. 2 questions:

1) Do people still watch music videos?

2) Didn't YouTube basically achieve this years ago (albeit unauthorized)?

I find myself feeling sorry for MySpace in a way.
